HAFFD Announces New Executive Director
The Haitian-American Foundation for Democracy (HAFFD) is excited to announce the appointment of Jocelyn McCalla as its new Executive Director, marking a pivotal moment in the organization’s journey. McCalla, who previously served as Senior advisor, brings extensive experience in public policy, human rights advocacy, and Haitian affairs, ensuring HAFFD continues to thrive as a champion for democracy and human rights.
Building on the success of Arielle Dominique’s tenure as HAFFD’s inaugural Executive Director, HAFFD has made significant strides in strengthening advocacy, expanding outreach, and fostering sustainable impact. As Dominique transitions to the Board of Directors, HAFFD is grateful for her visionary leadership in laying the foundation for the organization’s growth and influence.
“Jocelyn McCalla’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for HAFFD,” said HAFFD Board Chair Jean-Philippe Austin, on behalf of the Board. “His deep expertise in advocacy and public policy will strengthen our ability to promote democracy and human rights. We are grateful to Arielle Dominique for her dedication and contributions, which have laid a strong foundation for the future. As she transitions to the Board, we look forward to her continued guidance in advancing HAFFD’s mission.”
Mr. McCalla expressed enthusiasm for the role, stating, “HAFFD has achieved tremendous progress in a short time, and I am honored to continue building on this momentum.
